Delete your account

Delete immediately in the app

1. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Open “Me → Settings & Subscription → Privacy Policy.”
3. Under “Account Data,” tap “Delete Account,” review the notice, then tap “Confirm Account Deletion.”

The account cannot be recovered after completion. To prevent future charges, separately cancel your subscription in Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Request deletion without the app

Email us from the address registered to the account. Use the subject “Delete my BuddhaSide account” and include the registered email address in the message. We will verify ownership through that address and process the deletion after verification, normally within 30 days. If a legal obligation requires longer retention, we will explain why.

Data deleted

• Registered email, display or Dharma name, region, account status, password hash, and sign-in timestamps;
• Active sessions and email-verification and password-reset tokens;
• The link between the account and membership entitlements; and
• Cloud light-offering records linked to the account, including the display name and prayer text returned only to you. Other users see only the fixed label “A fellow practitioner.”
• The AES-256-GCM Google Play purchase-token ciphertext, account association, product, plan, order, subscription and acknowledgement states, start and expiry times, auto-renewal, trial or test markers, verification time, and related RTDN records.
